On one afternoon we scanned four businesses in four unrelated industries, in four cities none of them share. Same grid, same day, two channels: the Google map and the AI answer. Nobody paid for these. They are real businesses, measured without their knowledge, shown anonymized. The numbers below are what came back.
Two of the four are invisible on the map and carry roughly 40% of the AI answer. One is named first by the AI and almost never surfaces. One ranks second on the map and fifth in the answer. In four unrelated markets, on the same day, a business's standing in one channel predicted nothing about its standing in the other.
